Natalie is a Psychologist of nine years and has held roles in a variety of settings including clinical, community, and occupational. Natalie works with adolescents and adults from a positive psychology framework, guiding clients through their therapeutic journey to foster qualities of awareness, compassion, empowerment, responsibility and presence. Natalie is passionate about acknowledging the rollercoaster ride of being a human, and how to have this experience in a way that can bring a greater sense of ease and well-being.
Natalie’s special interests include:
· Working with trauma and the processing of difficult emotions, through the implementation of somatic therapeutic techniques and practices
· Working with adolescent girls to support and guide the transition through developmental and social changes
· Working with individuals experiencing difficulty in relationships (partnership; family; friendship; workplace) through guiding a practice of assertive and authentic relating skills
Natalie is experienced in working with varying presentations including anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, OCD, substance addiction, childhood behavioural difficulties, workplace difficulties, and self-harm.
Natalie is also a yoga and meditation teacher and values the wisdom of eastern therapeutic perspectives which she believes can effectively collaborate with western perspectives, in order to facilitate optimal thriving in this human experience.
