abn: 35630906897
Miriam is a registered psychologist with a diverse background ranging from the public health system and not-for-profit sector to private practice and occupational mental health. This diversity, coupled with a pragmatic and strengths-based approach, makes her capable of supporting clients with a wide range of issues and presentations, e.g. anxiety, depression, grief and loss, living with a disability, life transitions; as well as work and relationship issues.
Miriam has a special interest in person-centered and strengths-based approaches to create change. Her fundamental belief, that clients are experts in their own lives, shines through in her future-focused, pragmatic, and non-judgmental curiosity about preferred futures and the unique ways people have of coping with hardship. Through her gentle questions and clinical expertise clients will notice that they already possess the skills and resources they need to move forward.
Miriam sees adults and adolescents (ages 15 and up) privately or under Medicare. She also enjoys working with families and couples.
Miriam holds full registration with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi) and the Australasian Solution Focused Association (ASFA).
