Natalie Butterworth


Natalie graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatry from La Trobe University in 1998

She has 20 years experience working as a Podiatrist, and has been working here at the Tweed Health for Everyone Superclinic since it opened in 2013.  Natalie enjoys a close working relationship with local GP’s and is a clinical supervisor of Podiatry Students.

Natalie has a strong interest in in Biomechanics. She treats foot pain in recreational and competitive athletes, growth related biomechanical conditions in children and teenagers, as well as those struggling with foot pain in the activities of daily living.  This interest has come from her own sporting experience as a former sprinter who currently plays and coaches basketball and oztag. She also he has three children who are involved in many sporting clubs

Natalie can offer diagnosis and treatment options for Heel Pain, Plantar Fasciitis, Sever’s Disease, Achilles tendinosis, Metatarsalgia, Neuromas and other biomeachanical conditions of the foot.  She has a range of orthotic options to fit different work, sport or recreational footwear and can give advice on stretching exercises and footwear options.

Natalie’s other areas of interest are:

- Management and treatment of Workcover injuries
- Diabetic foot checks and education to maintain healthy feet
- Treatment of skin and nail conditions, including the surgical correction of ingrown toenails

Natalie is diligent in participating in Professional Development so she can keep up to date with the most recent evidence based practices.
