Low back pain and osteoarthritis classes insturcted by Physiotherapist Tom Kirkwood aim to reduce low back pain through a variety of exercises suitable for more chronic conditions. Special attention is given to knee and hip osteoarthritis with specific stretches and strength exercises to improve mobility. The class is suitable for patients who have struggled following orthopaedic surgery such as rotator cuff repair (shoulder), or knee & hip surgery.

Core strengthening and rehabilitation classes are run by Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist Jaime Close and cater for those recovering from a wide range of injuries on individualized programs. The class focuses on gluteal and deep abdominal strength for those patients with low back pain and includes gait re-education and balance exercises to get patients moving better with less pain. Diabetic patients are encouraged to attend this class for gentle exercise to assist controlling weight and blood sugar levels.
