Gerard Robards

Wound Management Consultant | Registered nurse

Gerard graduated from Griffith University, Gold Coast in 1994 with a Bachelor of Nursing. After spending 4 years nursing in the Middle East, Gerard returned to the Gold Coast where he has continued to pursue his passion in wound management.


 
Gerard completed a Master of Wound Care by research from Monash University in 2012, where he was awarded the Golden Key international Honour Society Certificate for outstanding academic achievement and the ConvaTec Master of Wound Care Prize for his research to examine the diagnostic validity of clinical signs and symptoms used to identify localised infection in patients with chronic wounds.
 
Gerard has a broad range of clinical experience and specialised skills in acute and chronic wound management, and is actively involved in research and education.
 
Gerard is a passionate member of the Australian Wound Management Association and is inspired to work in a state of the art facility with a unique and talented team.
 
In his dwindling spare time Gerard is a passionate triathlete and cyclist and enjoys racing with friends and family at Twin Towns Triathlon Club, Banora Point. Gerard is married with two daughters and a son and enjoys just about anything and everything.
